Chikmagalur is popularly known as Coffee Land of Karnataka and a charming hill station of Karnataka attracts many Trekkers, honeymoon couples, explorers and nature lovers throughout the year.
It enjoys a very pleasant weather throughout the year, attracting tourists from all over the country to enjoy the cool and calm atmosphere of the place and has a lot of plantation resorts, homestays, and heritage bungalows, giving wide options to the tourists to plan a leisure holidays in the comfort of tranquil valley.
I went there for a weekend getaway in June’16 with office friends. The place was full, so we stayed at a homestay – Kalyan Cool Homestay.
The price included 3 time food and rest of the things were already bought by us. The place was nice and enjoyed the food and drinks with bon-fire.
Next day early in the morning we went to Mullayanagiri Peak to watch the sun rise. If you are going to Chikmagalur, this place is worth going. It was an amazing experience with cold breeze and high wind makes it difficult to stand if you are not wearing warm clothes.
You will find a lot of people coming to Chikmagalur from Bangalore or nearby places to be away from city life. It is kind of stress buster.
